Ed Lewis
Born in London but raised in Australia, Ed is married to Stephanie with three children. Living in a small beautiful village in rural Rutland he enjoys Scuba diving, windsurfing and a good work life balance.
Ed’s career started in the early eighties as a budding entrepreneur writing computer games and running an independent record label. Although he had great success and immensely enjoyed his time creating, developing and implementing the new, he also realised the need for structured business training and experience, particularly in sales and people management. With this in mind, Ed embarked on his Sales, Training and Management career which has spanned over 20 years.
Ed started with FMCG organisations such as Nestle, L’Oreal and Sharp Electronics, but his enthusiasm and deep understanding of the Technology sector soon drew him back and he joined a Technology start-up as Sales Director. His success in this role led to Ed being headhunted by BT. Here he set up and headed BTNewwave, a sales division of 40 people consultative selling BT’s solutions portfolio to emerging technology businesses. During this time Ed’s professional approach, motivational management style, treating everyone as an individual and encouraging creativity culminated in him winning a BT business award for ‘Inspiration’.
Ed’s flair and passion for identifying, developing, coaching and building talent combined with his understanding nature and strong work life ethics have naturally led him into helping others through formalised development programmes. Throughout Ed’s career he has continuously strived for excellence. This has often brought him into contact with various aspects of NLP. As Ed states; “Although NLP has helped me tremendously over the last 12 years I do wish, with hindsight, I had fully studied to Practitioner level far earlier on in my career. It would have given me significantly more depth and scope to excel in both helping others and myself. If you really want to make a difference and be excellent in all that you do, then NLP enables you, with the right techniques, skills and mindset to start doing it now”.
